Roseau VFW Bantam AA Team hosted the Center Ice Club Bantam tournament this past weekend. Roseau opened play against St. Louis Park A team to kick off the tournament. Unfortunately the boys came out a little slow and found themselves on the losing end of game one in pool play 5-3. Dylan Johnson made 28 saves in the game. The boys rested up and rebounded in the afternoon with a 13-1 victory over Eden Prairie A team behind 4 goals from Tanner George. Saturday the boys played their final pool play game against West Fargo AA team. Roseau came out victorious 8-2 and credit a hat trick to Noah Urness. The boys finished pool play 2-1 setting them up to play at 10:00 Am Sunday against top ten rated Champlain Park AA team. In a high scoring event when the final buzzer sounded, Roseau came away with a 9-7 win finishing 3-1 on the weekend.

The tournament overall found Alexandria A, East Grand Forks A, Edina A, and St. Louis Park A as the #1 seed in their pool and playing at 8 am Sunday to advance to the championship. Alexandria took care of St. Louis Park and watched an overtime and 10 man shoot out ending between Edina and East Grand Forks, where in the end East Grand Forks pulled out the win. This set up a championship game between Alexandria and East Grand Forks.  Alexandria ended as the Center Ice Club Tournament Champions. The Roseau VFW Bantam AA team wishes to thank the Center Ice Club for your continued support.
